Global Energy Internet to Implement UN 2030 Agenda for Action on Sustainable Development

　　On September 26, 2015, at the UN summit on sustainable development, Chinese President Xi Jinping issued the "initiative to explore the construction of a global energy Internet to promote clean and green global electricity demand" and gained highly praise and positive response from the international community. The summit passed "Transforming Our World: 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" ("the 2030 Agenda"), clearly setting out 17 goals and 169 sustainable development goals, which set the direction for the development of all countries in the world in the next 15 years.

　　The Global Energy Internet Cooperation Organization, initiated by China, is committed to establishing an international cooperation platform to promote the implementation of the global energy Internet concept and to achieve a coordinated and sustainable development of energy, economy, society and environment in the world. In order to fully implement the UN 2030 Agenda, the Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization has prepared and posted the "Global Energy Internet Action Plan for Implementing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" (the "Action Plan") at the UN high-level seminar.

　　Liu Zhenmin said that the "2030" agenda is a universal agenda calling for "no one be left behind." Among them, 17 of the SDGs are closely integrated with 169 specific goals and need to be accomplished through international cooperation and systematic monitoring. The United Nations has long held that energy is one of the most important preconditions for achieving global poverty eradication and sustainable development. The goal is to achieve the universal use of clean energy and renewable energy and to achieve sustainable energy for all. 　　Liu Zhenya said that currently the world's energy development faces such prominent problems as resource shortage, environmental pollution and climate change, which threaten the survival and development of mankind. The global energy Internet is a clean-led, electricity-centric, interoperable, co-construction and sharing of modern energy system, in essence, is "smart grid + UHV grid + clean energy."
